E-petition - on-going until June 2012
http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/17419
NOW - I'd like to ask you for your help - please will you all sign this e-petition. We need 100 000 signatures, to gain the opportunity of an increase in funding being debated in the House of Commons. Maybe, just maybe, the world is about to hear & see that brain tumours are devastating more families then any other types of tumour - and you can help that to happen.... Please sign - it takes 2 minutes, but could affect someone with a brain tumour's future - and share the link with your family and friends and ask them to do the same. Don't forget to confirm your signature by clicking the email link that you will be sent.

Baby wipe packet collection.
Here's how it works:
1) Collect your empty baby wipe packets (any brand) and wrap them in an envelope, thick plastic bag or box. Fewer, bigger parcels are better.
2) When you have a parcel ready e-mail info@elliesfund.com and we will email you a freepost postage label. (Ellie's Fund is a small charity, this will save us postage costs.) Drop the parcel at your local post office.
3) Each postage label can only be use once so if you need more (and we hope that you will!) just e-mail again!
The packets go directly to a recycling centre (not to us) who credit Ellie's Fund with the money. The packets are made into other items such as plastic bibs, dustbins and watering cans.
So you'll be helping 2 great causes in one!

The event will open 'International bike week', but the will be NO racing during the festival, just quality live music.
The Music Festival will be a 2 day event to be held at the 'bikers village', Mount Farm, Oliver’s Mount. The plan is to have something for everyone over the 2 days, with camping, catering and bar on site. The quality, mainly local live music, on a fantastic professional stage will range from acoustic music, to blues, to rock, pop and folk music.
“We want a laid back, local, friendly festival atmosphere in this beautiful scenic area to bring families and both younger and older people together for the festival. It is to celebrate and enjoy the wealth of new talent from many bands and artists based on the Yorkshire Coast and some from further afield”.

RUNNING FOR ELLIE'S FUND
There are always several runs being planned:
Sarah Dowey is running the London Marathon 2012 for Ellie's Fund. If you would like to sponsor her you can do so through her charity giving page: www.charitygiving.co.uk/sarahdowey
16 year old David Sessions would have initially liked to run a Marathon equivalent, but after seeking medical advice is now doing a half marathon for Ellie's Fund. He will start from Ravenscar Tea Rooms and finishing at the Spa in Scarborough on March 24th 2012, starting at 10am.
David thinks that it will take him about 3 - 4 hours to complete. His aim is to raise £2000.
David's fundraising page is www.charitygiving.co.uk/whitbytoscarborough
And one of our trustees, Shaun, is also running for Ellie's Fund. Shaun takes part in every run that is organised, by anyone (!) I think!
This year, Shaun will run 1000 miles for Ellie's Fund! Shaun's page is www.charitygiving.co.uk/shauntymon
If you would like to know more about running for Ellie's Fund please email info@elliesfund.com and Shaun will help you all he can.
